Gianna RobinsonGianna (Scherer) Robinson was born in 1969 in Worchester, Massachusetts. Gianna and her two sisters, Corina and Sarenna, have had invaluable rich cultural experiences being raised by their mother, Deidre Scherer, a full-time fiber artist. They lived art: ate, breathed and dreamt art. Gianna has been drawing as far back as she can remember. The earliest recollection she has is from age five; having watched Japanese Nö plays on television, and recreating the scenes in ink. Through elementary and secondary school she participated in many special art programs, including the Governors Institute on the Arts at Castleton State College, Vermont.

Gianna has taken many art courses through Community College of Vermont, the River Gallery Art School in Brattleboro, and Smith College of Northampton, MA. Classes included but not limited to; Drawing One, Mixed Media & Design, Water Color Painting, Acrylic Painting, Figure Drawing/Painting and many years of Independent Study in Oil Painting. She has also been fortunate in being able to paint with and learn about color and nature from her grandparents, accomplished painters, Fred Scherer and Cicely Aikman. Since graduating from college, she has had more time and creative energy to paint freely.

Gianna has taken various Feng Shui classes with Patty Newton at Silver Moon School of Feng Shui, instilling a fuller creative perspective in her approach to organic representation. Her hope is that her pieces not only radiate pleasant vibrations, but have different effects on home dwellers in specially placed areas of the home. The philosophy of Feng Shui involves the art of placement, the flow of Chi (life energy), and elemental balance. All of these tenets, as well as the well-being of each inhabitant, may be addressed with carefully selected art; in where they are placed in the home, use of basic shapes and colors, and the subject matter.

Her favored subjects involve land and waterscapes, painting with oil on canvas.

Gianna, her husband and five children live in Vermont where she works part-time as a painter and full-time as a mother as well as the owner/administrator of Screenmobile.
